Sisters U® is a non-profit community-based women’s organization located in Bucks County, PA.

Our Mission

It is our mission to connect and empower individual women to be their authentic selves and reach their full potential.  We achieve this through education and communication that focuses on personal development, fostering self-growth and enhancing the quality of life of our members.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need for my care.
’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Core Values

CREATE COMMUNITY
Through a unique blend of activities, both social and educational, Sisters U® provides members opportunities for personal connections with each other adding support, value and a sense of community to their lives. We believe that a community is a compilation of each member’s talents and strengths and that every individual is necessary and valuable.  Sisters U® members impact their local communities through a variety of fundraisers and sponsorships, and with ongoing events and workshops.

CELEBRATE THE CULTURE OF WOMEN
Historically, women have thrived while leaning on each other in times of need, and in coming together for a common cause to initiate change.  Sisters U® celebrates the cultural heritage of determined women and continues in their legacies of being catalysts of positive change.  Sisters U® is a place where walls are broken down, fear is overcome, and collaboration and fresh perspectives prevail.

HONOR THE INDIVIDUAL
Each individual member has unique gifts, talents and valuable life lessons to share. We honor the individual by encouraging members to share their stories. As stated by our Founder and CEO, Karen Chellew, we believe that an individual’s story is not the circumstances of life, but how one has navigated those circumstances.  Sisters U® honors each individual and recognizes and respects differences in a safe and collaborative environment that allows for self-expression.
